To place an order, please either complete the form on the Contact page, email roseandthread.sew@gmail.com or message via Facebook or Instagram. Just select the item you wish to order and send a message as above including any personalisation or special requests. Feel free to ask any questions before placing your order. Once your order has been received, I will message you (usually within 24 hours) to provide instructions for sending your items. I prefer to have a personal conversation with you whilst ordering such a special, personalised item, which is why I don’t operate an online store.

After you place an order, we will provide you with complete details on where to send your items. We primarily serve customers in the Cheshire area, offering a convenient drop-off and pick-up service at the studio in Winsford. If you do wish to post your items, we recommend using Royal Mail Tracked 24 and your keepsakes will be returned the same way. A quote for postal costs will be given at the time of ordering. Please add a note inside your package with your name and address and any special requests. All clothing should be washed before sending.

Once we have received your clothes and are ready to start on your keepsake, we will send you an invoice for the final balance, which you can pay via BACS. This payment must be made before we begin creating your keepsake.

Our Keepsake Blankets are approx 80 cm x 90 cm and we typically use around 20 sleepsuits/outfits but can incorporate more if you wish. Sizes of the patchwork can vary depending on the items you send. If your items are very small, please send a few additional pieces. If you would like us to create bunting from any leftover fabric, please send 5 extra items. Any unused items will be returned along with your keepsake.

Suggested amounts based on 0-3 / 3-6 month sleepsuits: Bear/Dachshund: 8 - 10 items of baby clothes / 1 (or 2 for contast) adult clothing items Blanket: 19 - 24 items Bunting: If using leftover keepsake materials: 5 additional items. Bunting: If ordering bunting alone: 6 or more items. Patchwork Cushion: 5 - 9 items / 3 - 6 Adult clothing items Name Banner will depend on the length of the name approx 1 sleepsuit for every 2 letters. Christmas Sack: 8 - 10 items Christmas Stocking: 3 - 6 items If your items are very small, please send a few additional pieces.

Your keepsake animal is for you and your child to admire and treasure. As it is made from your clothing items, it cannot be CE/UKCA tested so is not suitable for children as a toy. They are not intended for use in play by children under 14 years of age.

Any current wait time will be clearly posted on this website. When you place an order, I will advise you of the estimated start date for your keepsake project. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for completion of your order. If you are ordering more than one item, this time will obviously increase.

I believe these precious keepsakes cannot be rushed so this is not a service that I offer at present. All orders are fulfilled in the order that final payment and clothing items are received. However, if you require your keepsake for a certain date, please let me know before ordering.

Blankets and Patchwork cushion covers from baby clothes can be machine washed on a cool delicate cycle although we recommend that you handwash. Do not tumble dry or iron on motifs or the fleece. All other cushion covers are handwash only Only wash when needed (don’t just wash every week as it will deteriorate quicker). Air dry flat naturally and your blanket or cushion cover should last! Cushion pad can be sponge cleaned. For Bunting gently hand wash or spot clean with a sponge. Animals, Name Banners and Christmas Sacks are sponge clean only.

We work hard to ensure that you get the items you have imagined, or even better. We are confident you will love your keepsake but, if you have a change of heart before we begin production, we will gladly provide a refund. Building trust and confidence with our customers is what we firmly believe in. ​ Please bear in mind that the appearance of bespoke items can vary as each one is unique. Items may not look exactly like the pictures provided. ​ For keepsakes and personalised items we are unable to provide a refund or exchange unless the item is faulty or incorrect due to a mistake on our part. If that is the case, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. ​ Please note that E-Gift cards are non-refundable.
